Urban Tracking (108)

Two weeks ago on Thursday, September 20th, Nadine and I met at Auburn Cinema for our weekly practice. Nadine wanted to practice tracking close to vertical surfaces, such as buildings. I laid a track for Cricket starting in the parking lot, then up against the front of the Cinema building and back out into the parking lot. Cricket did well with this.

Nadine started our track in the grass strip, went out into the parking lot for an island serpentine, then after a couple of turns we ended up coming down the sidewalk right next to the building. It was cool and damp, with no breeze to notice. Temperature was 56ยบ. The track was 50 minutes old.

Gimme did a really nice job. She took her time deciding to leave the grass strip we started on, but then did nicely on the island serpentine. She made all her turns easily. I saw no sign she had any issue with tracking right up beside the building. She spent a few moments deciphering the turn off the sidewalk and back out into the parking lot, but when she made her decision, she was confident.

Since the pollen went away, she's doing stellar. Of course she IS a genius. Just sayin...
