I wasn't sure how Gimme would do with the seizure just two days before. She seemed a little less focused, but it could also be all that "excess" resting (excess according to her).
Container 1 video - She was a bit more vigorous with her paw indication than I've seen lately. She really wasn't hitting them hard, but those plastic containers are really fragile and the lids just fly off. My "discussion" with the instructor was them saying she was the only one to paw the containers, when both of the dogs I watched before us also pawed each container. Of course, I had to concede she was the only one to flip the containers and knock the lids off - damn flimsy containers. Overall I thought she did nicely, though she spent a little more time solving the puzzle on which container was the right one, when it came to the third container.
Container 2 video - The fourth container in the line was full of treats and while she does spend time checking it out, she never indicates. Her indication on the hide (second to last in the row) was vigorous, possibly from frustration. Her indication on the other hide was much better. The second time we came around to the first hide, she did better on the indication.
Container 3 video - This time we did the container search off leash (which will never happen in a trial), after the hides were moved. It's pretty clear Gimme remembered where they'd been, since she goes there first. Once she started actually searching, she found both hides quickly and then I had her check the boxes she had ignored. All in all a nice search and she wasn't quite as vigorous with the indications.
Happily she didn't seem to have any negative residuals from Sunday. Thank God.
